A nurture provision in Peterlee is seeking a full-time Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 7–11 with emotional and behavioural needs.

Daily Responsibilities

• Morning check-ins
• Small group reading support
• Social skills development
• Structured lunchtime engagement
• End-of-day reflection

Behaviour Systems

Restorative approach. Clear expectations. Staff supported by senior leadership.

Experience & Pay

No previous school experience required.

Appointment may be made on a trainee scale with full mentoring provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
