Senior Quantity Surveyor

Summary 

A major Tier 1 infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team to play a part in delivering the landmark Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based in Redcar. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK's most ambitious decarbonisation initiatives, helping to shape the future of sustainable infrastructure.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor working on construction of a large-scale, combined-cycle, gas-powered generation plant  you will be responsible for the commercial management of major work packages on the project and will ensure cost efficiency, risk control, and contractual compliance while supporting the successful delivery of this high-profile scheme.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:

• Lead commercial management of assigned project sections from procurement through to final account
• Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets and forecasts
• Administer contracts (NEC preferred) and manage subcontractor relationships
• Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Oversee valuations, variations, and change control processes
• Provide accurate financial reporting to senior stakeholders
• Mentor and support junior commercial team members

You will have the following:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within major infrastructure or energy projects
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex project environment
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Chartered status (RICS or equivalent) is desirable

Salary / Benefits

Between £63,000 - £69,000 plus package including:
