We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a thriving school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.
As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and school leaders to deliver high-quality learning experiences, lead lessons when required, and provide targeted support to pupils across a range of abilities.
The Role
- Deliver engaging learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
- Provide classroom cover in the absence of teaching staff.
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Deliver intervention programmes to raise attainment and confidence.
- Assist in planning and adapting learning activities to meet pupil needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress.
What We're Looking For
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working within a school setting.
- Confidence leading learning activities and managing classrooms.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
