Step into a classroom where the glue sticks are busy, the questions are endless, and no two days ever look the same.

Schools across Bath and the surrounding villages are looking for KS1 and Early Years teachers who can walk in, bring a sense of calm, and quickly become their teacher for the day. Someone who can set the tone, keep routines ticking along, and create an environment where children feel safe enough to explore, play, and learn.

You'll be leading learning across EYFS and KS1, supporting everything from those first phonics breakthroughs to growing confidence with numbers, all while helping children develop independence, social skills, and a genuine love of learning. It's about finding that balance between structure and creativity – keeping lessons purposeful while leaving room for curiosity and imagination to flourish.

Every placement is carefully matched to your experience, teaching style, and the type of school where you'll thrive. These are welcoming schools that value what supply teachers bring and make every effort to help you feel part of the team from day one.

Pay & Benefits

  • Daily rates of £170-190, paid weekly via PAYE
  • Teach without the Sunday evening workload – no unnecessary planning or endless meetings
  • Flexible work that genuinely fits around your lifestyle
  • Free access to CPD, including Early Years, phonics, and curriculum-focused training
  • Support from a dedicated local consultant who knows their schools well
  • Regular bookings, with longer-term opportunities available if you're looking for consistency

What You Can Expect

  • Friendly, well-supported primary schools across Bath and the surrounding area
  • Opportunities across Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
  • Clear routines and thorough handovers to help you hit the ground running
  • Classrooms where curiosity is encouraged and every achievement is celebrated
  • The chance to build meaningful connections with children, staff, and school communities

This Role Is Perfect If You

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have recent experience teaching in EYFS or KS1
  • Enjoy those lightbulb moments, whether it's blending a first word or mastering counting to 20
  • Can confidently step into a classroom and establish a calm, positive learning environment
  • Build strong relationships quickly and bring warmth and energy to your teaching
  • Want flexibility without losing the sense of purpose that comes with working in education

What Do We Need to Get You Started?

  • Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address (driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement, P45 or P60)
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, ideally from education, childcare, or related settings
  • An Overseas Police Check if you've lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years

If you're someone who thrives in those early years of education, where every day brings a mix of structure, spontaneity, and small magical moments, we'd love to hear from you.
