We're recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to work with Key Stage 2 pupils. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children who need additional help with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement, making a real difference every single day.

The role
As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you'll work closely with pupils who benefit from additional emotional and behavioural support. You'll build positive relationships, encourage confidence and help create a calm, safe learning environment where every child can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group behaviour support.
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Helping pupils remain engaged with classroom learning.
- Working alongside teachers and the school's inclusion team.
- Supporting children during transitions, breaktimes and structured learning.
- Recording progress and providing feedback on pupil development.
- Promoting independence, confidence and resilience.
- Following safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH or SEND.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Confidence managing behaviour positively.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
