

Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Do you have experience supporting children or young people with behaviours that challenge?
We are seeking proactive and confident Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist PRU supporting pupils who require structured behavioural and emotional support.
The role will involve supporting pupils who may display:
- Verbal aggression
- Physical dysregulation
- Refusal behaviours
- High anxiety
- Emotional outbursts
Successful candidates will understand that behaviour is communication and will be able to respond with professionalism, consistency and empathy.
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
- Team Teach / MAPA / de-escalation training
- Positive behaviour support
- Trauma-informed practice
- Restorative conversations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
