

SEND Teacher
Are you a teacher who believes every child deserves an education tailored to their strengths, needs, and potential?
We’re working with specialist schools in the South Shields area looking for passionate SEND Teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.
The role
As a SEND Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet pupils where they are. You’ll create a classroom environment built on trust, structure, and encouragement, helping pupils make meaningful academic and personal progress.
Many schools use supply as a route to permanent recruitment, so this role offers an excellent pathway into a long-term position.
What you’ll be doing
Planning and delivering differentiated lessons
Supporting pupils with varied SEND profiles
Managing behaviour through positive relationships
Working closely with support staff and external professionals
Tracking progress and celebrating achievement
What we’re looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with SEND or specialist settings
Excellent behaviour management skills
Strong adaptability and resilience
Passion for inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
