Year 1 Teacher Job | KS1 Primary Teacher | Wakefield | £130–£200 per day | Full-Time

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Wakefield. This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate of £130–£200 per day, depending on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children through the important transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and creative KS1 lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Support pupils with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy development
• Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Monitor pupil progress and provide targeted support where needed
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 / KS1
• Strong understanding of phonics schemes and early learning
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
