Project Manager - High-Rise & Refurbishment
We are looking for experienced Project Managers to take responsibility for the successful delivery of capital and retrofit works across two high-rise residential tower blocks.
You will lead project teams and work closely with delivery partners to ensure all works are completed to the highest standards of quality, compliance and specification, while remaining within agreed budgets and timescales.
The ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience in a similar role, with a strong background in retrofit and refurbishment projects involving high-rise buildings, ideally including façade replacement works.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned high-rise refurbishment and retrofit projects.
Provide strong leadership and direction to project teams and delivery partners.
Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
Lead and monitor project strategies to support sustainability objectives.
Identify, assess and effectively manage commercial and project risks.
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with client representatives, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders.
Develop strong relationships with the supply chain to ensure effective project delivery.
Recruit, develop, motivate and retain high-quality project staff, supporting a consistently high level of service.
Provide technical guidance, support and advice to the client and wider project team.
Ensure robust processes are in place for managing complaints, defects and remedial works.
Drive a strong culture of quality throughout the project lifecycle, with a zero-defect target at handover.
Support wider sustainability commitments and ensure these are embedded throughout project delivery.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, to specification, within budget and within agreed timescales.
About You
You will ideally have:
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering high-rise refurbishment and/or retrofit projects.
Experience working on complex occupied or residential high-rise buildings.
Strong knowledge of construction, refurbishment.
Experience of façade replacement or similar external envelope works would be highly desirable.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
A sound understanding of health, safety, quality, environmental and commercial requirements.
The ability to manage multiple stakeholders, contractors and project teams effectively.
A strong focus on quality, compliance and successful project outcomes.
