The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in supporting children's development during the most important stage of their educational journey.

You'll help create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where children can learn through play, develop key social skills and build confidence in themselves and the world around them.

From messy play and outdoor adventures to phonics, stories and number activities, no two days are ever the same. You'll celebrate milestones big and small while helping children develop the foundations they'll carry throughout their education.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting children aged 2-5 within nursery and EYFS settings, with some opportunities in Key Stage 1
• Encouraging communication, language, literacy and early maths development through play-based learning
• Supporting children's social, emotional and personal development
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Assisting with daily routines, mealtimes, transitions and personal care where required
• Delivering one-to-one and small group support
• Creating inclusive learning experiences for all children, including those with SEND
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Warm, patient and naturally nurturing
• Passionate about supporting young children's development
• Confident building positive relationships with children and families
• Flexible, reliable and proactive
• Comfortable working within nursery, preschool or EYFS environments
• Understanding of child development and the EYFS framework is beneficial
• Experience supporting children with SEND is welcomed but not essential
• Someone who can bring energy, creativity and positivity to every day

What We Need to Clear You

• Passport/proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education with any explained gaps
• References covering the past two years, including childcare, education or youth work where applicable
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more in the past 5 years
