Highbank has an opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join our team. 

The Priory Highbank Centre is a 19 bedded facility for Neuro-rehabilitation and complex neuro-disability. Service users are referred mainly from NHS funders across the country for slow stream neuro rehabilitation or specialist assessments like PDoC assessments by experienced clinicians. The team also manages those people with complex tracheostomy and/or mechanical ventilation for specialist assessments or slow stream neuro-rehabilitation.

If successful, you would become part of and be the Lead of our dedicated multidisciplinary Clinical team who offer an evidence-based approach to person-centred care and therapy.

You will be working in conjunction with other experienced members of the MDT, including a Consultant, GP, nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapist, neuropsychologist, and external professionals, with excellent communication and organisational skills to promote team goals. 

• To promote, monitor and implement standards for service provision within the clinical environments, evaluating through clinical governance and audits as per company guidance and standards.
• Provide clinical leadership, positive role modelling to the whole team, ensuring effective communication across the multidisciplinary team, through supervision, mentoring and  appraisals. 
• Develop close working relationships with external professionals and clinical colleagues, ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards
• Be the leader for the clinical team at site, directly supervising the nursing team and supporting other clinicians as a senior clinical colleague. 
• Be the main contact and liaison person for commissioners, families and other external professionals who supports our service users at site 
• Conduct and organize pre- admission assessments following referrals from external stakeholders and consultants, working with the whole MDT. 
• Carry out nursing and neuro assessments alongside other clinical colleagues to identify service user needs, before planning and delivering the appropriate interventions.
• Compose Nursing reports and attend / lead on multidisciplinary team meetings / reports with other senior clinicians.
• Lead the implementation of new innovations within their site and sharing best practice with colleagues within the service.
• Undertake on-call duties as part of the leadership team at site to advise and support team as required.

You can find additional information in the attached job description.  You will be an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with post qualification experience. You will have managerial or leadership experience, preferably working in a neurological or complex care service in a mixture of physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional & psychological difficulties e.g. prolonged disorders of consciousness, long term medical conditions, tracheostomy and long term mechanical ventilation etc.
