Product Manager (291lw) Secure Technology – Hybrid (Remote/London) - £50,000.00 - £60,000.00 pa + benefits

Are you a Product Manager who enjoys solving complex customer problems and working closely with technical teams OR are you an ex-military professional with a background in secure communications, Defence, cyber, intelligence or technical delivery looking to move into Product Management? We’re recruiting for an established technology organisation developing high-assurance software for customers operating in security-sensitive environments.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of a product area, working closely with customers and engineering teams to shape what gets built and why.

You’ll own your product area end-to-end, with approximately 70% delivery and 30% product strategy.

You’ll be responsible for
Understanding customer problems and translating them into valuable product solutions.
Owning and prioritising the product backlog.
Working closely with engineering to define requirements, scope and acceptance criteria.
Maintaining product direction, priorities and roadmap.
Balancing customer, technical and business priorities.
Ensuring delivered functionality solves the original customer need.
Communicating product decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Taking genuine ownership and identifying opportunities to improve the product.

You don't need to be a finished Product Manager. If you understand the customer environment, have strong technical or communications experience, can manage competing requirements and know how to work with technical teams, this could be an excellent opportunity to transition into commercial Product Management.

We're looking for someone who is curious, commercially aware and driven to solve customer problems (these attributes are key to this hiring need)

You might come from a traditional Product Management/Product Ownership background, OR from a technical project, capability or delivery environment (Service Leavers)

You'll ideally have
Experience in Defence, national security, secure communications, cyber, intelligence or critical infrastructure would be particularly valuable.
Experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, technical delivery, project management OR a related discipline.
Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
Experience gathering and prioritising requirements.
The ability to translate complex problems into clear, actionable requirements.
Experience working alongside technical or engineering teams.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
A genuine interest in technology and willingness to learn (having a good idea about working in cloud-based environments beneficial)

This is a permanent, London-based hybrid working role. Typically, 1–2 days per week in the office
