Protocol Education is looking for a Healthcare Support Assistant to work full time within a specialist SEND school in Morpeth.

The school supports children and young people with complex additional needs, Autism, physical disabilities and communication needs, providing individualised care and educational support throughout the school day.

What you'll be doing

You'll work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to help pupils get the most from their school day. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom and during activities
• Providing personal care and medical support where appropriate
• Encouraging independence and self-confidence
• Supporting communication and social development
• Helping pupils manage their physical and emotional needs
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff
• Encouraging participation in learning
• Building trusting relationships with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
