Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Healthcare Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Morpeth. The school provides a supportive and highly personalised environment for pupils with complex needs, Autism, physical disabilities and communication difficulties.

You don't need to have worked in a school before – your experience from healthcare, care or support work could give you many of the skills needed for this role.

You'll help pupils feel safe, supported and able to participate in school life by:

• Supporting pupils in lessons and activities
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Supporting physical and medical needs
• Encouraging independence and daily living skills
• Promoting communication and engagement
• Supporting emotional wellbeing
• Working alongside teachers and therapists
• Building trusting relationships
• Encouraging progress and celebrating achievements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
