Wigginton Cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Wigginton, in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Our specialist service provides residential support for eight males and females with a primary diagnosis of Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Our home is on a quiet street, near the small village.
Our team are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, helping them to achieve positive outcomes. We want to help each person we care for to have a healthy, happy, and independent life, within a safe and welcoming home. As part of our dedicated and compassionate team, you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. While this isn’t a direct care role, your work makes a real difference to the wellbeing of our residents and staff – creating a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for everyone.
Every day will be varied, drawing on your multi-skills to:

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks.
• Keep our sites safe, well-presented, and welcoming.
• Tackle jobs from painting, decorating, and wallpapering through to plumbing (fixing leaks, changing taps) and putting up furniture.
• Spot and report any issues that need attention and take action to put things right.
• Work alongside a supportive team to make sure everything meets quality and safety  

• Practical, hands-on, and confident with general DIY.
• Skilled across a mix of areas such as painting, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, or general repairs.
• Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Happy to work independently but also a great team player.
• Friendly, approachable, and motivated by making a positive difference.
