We accept referrals from a wide variety of public sector organisations throughout the UK, including special hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, prisons, courts, low secure units (LSUs), medium secure units (MSUs), forensic lead commissioners, social services, NHS Mental Health Trusts, GPs, the police and others. You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

- Assists qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all patients.
- Provides practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
- Observes and monitors the wellbeing of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues and visitors.
- Good observational and listening skills to monitor patients’ mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
- Understanding of confidentiality and the importance of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Basic IT literacy.
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics or NVQ Level 1.
- Willingness to complete required training and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare, care or support environment.
- Experience supporting individuals with personal care needs.
- Experience working with people who may present with challenging or difficult situations.
- Experience supporting patient wellbeing and delivering care in line with individual care plans.
- Experience working as part of a team within a care or healthcare setting.
