The Role

As a History Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to develop a passion for History and the wider Humanities.
  • Plan and teach ambitious lessons that challenge and support all learners.
  • Encourage critical thinking, analysis and independent enquiry.
  • Monitor, assess and track student progress effectively.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students to achieve excellent academic outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in History or a related Humanities subject.
  • Experience teaching History at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent subject knowledge.
  • A passion for inspiring young people through History.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and achievement.
