Senior Project Planner – Data Centre Project, Athens

Our client is integrating with the main contractor on a major data centre project in Athens, and is looking to appoint a Senior Project Planner to support project delivery across a multi-disciplined, multi-sector environment by driving the planning, scheduling and control process.

Key Functions

• Review contract documentation and flag key scheduling and tracking requirements.
• Build out the construction schedule from the high-level target schedule and WBS provided by the Project Manager.
• Support client schedule negotiations.
• Load labour and metrics into the schedule based on hours and quantities provided by the Commercial Team.
• Develop the trackers and reporting templates required for the project.
• Build a fully integrated construction schedule in conjunction with the Main Contractor and Project Manager.
• Measure and track weekly progress and efficiency with the Site Team, validating formally with the Commercial Team every 2–3 weeks.
• Flag potential risks and roadblocks to the project team and lead planner on an ongoing basis.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a strong trades background with demonstrable technical ability.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience developing and implementing plans, and monitoring/controlling work.
• Able to produce project plans from design and commercial information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, P6 or equivalent planning software, plus general MS Office tools.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good time management to handle a busy schedule and reporting calendar.
