Protocol Education is looking for flexible SEND Teaching Assistants to support a child on a 1:1 basis in a primary school in Avonmouth.

This role is ideal for someone calm, patient, and confident supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs. The child needs consistent support throughout the school day to help with emotional regulation, routines, behaviour, and learning.

Experience working in schools is preferred, and confidence supporting additional needs is essential.

The role:

  • 1:1 support within a primary classroom
  • Supporting SEND and SEMH needs
  • Helping the child stay engaged and regulated during the school day
  • Working closely with teachers and SEND staff
  • Flexible opportunities available

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has SEND or SEMH experience
  • Is calm, resilient, and nurturing
  • Can build positive relationships with children
  • Is reliable and adaptable
  • Has school-based experience, preferred

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
