Dance Coaches - Become Learning Mentor!
Are you a dance coach, choreographer, performer or creative professional looking to use your skills in a rewarding new way?
Protocol Education is working closely with primary schools across Bath (BA1) to recruit enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Mentors who can use their creativity, communication skills and positive energy to support children in their learning and development.
If you've trained in dance, movement or performance, you already possess many of the qualities schools value most. Confidence. Adaptability. Emotional awareness. The ability to engage and inspire others. As a Learning Mentor, you'll bring these strengths into the classroom, helping pupils build confidence, overcome challenges and develop positive relationships with learning.
This isn't a dance teaching role. Instead, you'll work closely with children who may benefit from additional support with confidence, communication, emotional regulation or engagement in school. Your ability to build trust, motivate others and think creatively can make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey.
Whether working one-to-one or with small groups, you'll become a positive role model who helps pupils feel understood, supported and ready to succeed.
Why Creative Professionals Make Great Learning Mentors
Through dance and performance, you've likely developed skills including:
- Building confidence in others
- Reading body language and emotions
- Creating positive relationships quickly
- Remaining calm and adaptable under pressure
- Encouraging resilience and perseverance
- Communicating clearly and effectively
- Motivating and engaging different personalities
- Thinking creatively to overcome challenges
These are exactly the qualities many pupils need from the adults supporting them in school.
