Dance Coaches - Become Learning Mentor!

As schools return after half-term, many children benefit from extra encouragement, structure and positive role models to help them settle back into learning. Protocol Education is working with primary schools across Bath (BA1) to recruit enthusiastic, compassionate and engaging Learning Mentors to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

We're particularly keen to hear from dance coaches, choreographers, performers, fitness instructors and creative professionals looking to use their people skills in a rewarding educational setting.

This isn't a dance teaching role. Instead, you'll use your confidence, communication skills and ability to inspire others to help children develop emotionally, socially and academically.

The Role

As a Learning Mentor, you'll support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them return from half-term feeling settled, supported and ready to learn.

You may help children with:

• Confidence and self-esteem
• Emotional regulation
• Communication and social skills
• Engagement in learning
• Behaviour and wellbeing
• Building positive routines and independence

We're looking for someone who is:

• Able to build strong relationships quickly
• Interested in education, SEND or child development
• Keen to make a genuine impact in the classroom

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential. Many of our most successful Learning Mentors come from creative and performing arts backgrounds.

What We Need to Clear You

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any explained gaps
• References covering the last 2 years (including childcare references where applicable)
• Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more in the past 5 years
