Protocol Education are looking for enthusiastic students and graduates to support early phonics development in EYFS settings across BS3, including mainstream and SEN schools.

If you’re passionate about early years, language development, or child psychology, this is a brilliant opportunity to play a hands-on role in those all-important first steps into reading.

Roles available:
Phonics Support Assistant, EYFS Teaching Assistant, 1:1 Support, SEN Support and more.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting children with early phonics, sounds, and blending
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups to build confidence with reading
  • Delivering engaging, playful learning activities
  • Helping establish routines that support focus and development
  • Encouraging communication, listening, and language skills

We’re looking for:

  • Graduates or those keen to gain experience in early years education
  • A patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication skills and a naturally playful energy
  • Confidence supporting children at different developmental stages
  • A genuine passion for helping young children thrive

Pay & benefits:

  • £14.30–£15 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE

  • Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references (education, childcare, voluntary or youth work)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
