The Role
As part of a school support team, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions in phonics, reading, maths, and SPaG
- Help children build confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits
- Support pupils who may need additional encouragement to engage with learning
- Reinforce positive classroom routines and behaviour expectations
- Work closely with teachers to deliver targeted support where it's needed most
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

About You
We're looking for individuals who are:
- Graduates, students, or those looking to gain school-based experience
- Passionate about supporting children and young people
- Calm, patient, and positive in their approach
- Strong communicators who build relationships quickly
- Confident supporting pupils who may need additional encouragement
- Interested in careers in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, social work, or pastoral support
- Committed to helping every child achieve success
Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with transferable experience from childcare, mentoring, coaching, youth work, or volunteering.

To get you registered and ready to start, we'll need:
- A valid passport or proof of your right to work in the UK
- Two proofs of address
- A CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education history, with any gaps explained
- Two years of references, including education, employment, voluntary, childcare, or youth work references where applicable
- An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
