Protocol Education is working with welcoming nurseries and early years settings across the BS4 area to recruit caring, reliable and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants, Early Years Practitioners and Learning Support Staff for opportunities starting in November.

The Role
You'll be supporting children throughout the EYFS, helping to create positive learning experiences through play, exploration and daily routines.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Encouraging communication, language development and early literacy skills
• Assisting with phonics foundations, number awareness and play-based learning activities
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive social skills
• Supporting daily routines including mealtimes, outdoor learning and transitions throughout the day
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND, where required

A Bit About You
• Experience working with children within Early Years, childcare or education settings
• Comfortable supporting children aged 2 to 5 years old
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Friendly, approachable and confident building positive relationships with young children
• Happy to get involved in play, learning activities and care-based tasks
• Understanding of children's individual needs, including SEND
• Reliable, adaptable and passionate about supporting children's development
• Committed to creating positive early learning experiences
What We Need To Clear You
• Passport / proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• Two years of references, including childcare references where applicable
• Overseas Police Check if you've lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
