The Role

As a Year 2 Supply & PPA Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
  • Support children's development in reading, writing, phonics, and mathematics
  • Create positive and inclusive learning environments
  • Encourage confidence, resilience, and independence
  • Adapt learning to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
  • Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour

Whether you're covering classes for a day, supporting PPA time, or working in a longer-term placement, you'll play an important role in helping children continue to thrive.

About You

We're looking for teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2
  • Are confident delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Can adapt quickly to different school environments
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Are positive, patient, and supportive in their approach
  • Are passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential

What We Need to Clear You

To get you registered and ready for work, we'll need:

  • A valid passport or proof of your right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education history, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including your most recent school placement where applicable
  • An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
