

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Delivering planned lessons during PPA cover and teacher absences
• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning
• Supporting progress in core subjects including reading, writing and mathematics
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs, including SEND
• Working collaboratively with teachers to plan, deliver and assess learning activities
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

£95 - £105 per day

A Bit About You
• HLTA status or substantial experience working at HLTA level within primary education
• Confident leading whole-class learning when required
• Experienced supporting pupils across the primary age range
• Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies
• Skilled at supporting children with a range of needs, including SEND
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a school team
What We Need To Clear You
• Passport / proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• Two years of references, including education or childcare references where applicable
• Overseas Police Check if you have lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
