We're working with a welcoming and highly supportive primary school in BS14 that is looking to appoint a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from January 2027 on a permanent basis.

You'll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school while becoming an integral part of a positive and nurturing school community.

What You'll Be Doing

As a HLTA, you'll work closely with class teachers and senior leaders to support pupils across the primary age range, including:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Leading targeted interventions and booster sessions
• Delivering planned lessons and supporting whole-class teaching when required
• Working collaboratively with teachers to drive pupil progress
• Providing additional support for pupils who need it most
• Promoting confidence, engagement, and positive attitudes towards learning
• Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds HLTA status or has substantial experience in a similar teaching support role
• Is confident supporting learning across KS1 and KS2
• Can deliver interventions and lead learning activities independently
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Brings a calm, positive, and proactive approach to their work
• Can adapt quickly to meet the needs of pupils and the wider school
• Is passionate about helping children make progress and achieve success

What We Need to Clear You

To get registered and ready for work, we'll need:

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment and/or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the last two years, including education or childcare experience where applicable
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years
