We're working with a welcoming primary school in BS13 that is looking to appoint a dedicated KS2 Learning Support Assistant to join their team after half term.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support pupils during a key stage of their educational journey. You'll help children overcome challenges, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to succeed both now and as they prepare for the move to secondary education.

What You'll Be Doing

As a KS2 Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and pupils to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 classrooms
• Delivering targeted interventions in English and maths
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional guidance
• Helping children remain focused, motivated, and confident in their learning
• Adapting resources and activities alongside the class teacher
• Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive learning habits
• Building strong relationships that help pupils feel supported and valued

You'll also play an important role in preparing pupils for the next stage of their education, helping them develop the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition to secondary school.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS2
• Is confident supporting literacy and numeracy development
• Communicates clearly and positively with pupils and staff
• Builds strong relationships quickly and effectively
• Is reliable, proactive, and happy to work as part of a team
• Believes in maintaining high expectations while providing the support children need to succeed
• Is passionate about helping every child reach their full potential

A good sense of humour and the ability to connect with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils will certainly be an advantage!

• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years
