Protocol Education is working closely with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across South Bristol who are looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their teams from January 2027.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate, or looking to take your first step into education, this is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference while developing valuable classroom experience.

You'll support pupils through some of the most important stages of their education, helping them build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Your Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping children thrive both academically and personally. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 classrooms
• Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Assisting pupils with additional learning and emotional needs
• Helping children develop confidence, independence, and resilience
• Working closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences
• Promoting positive behaviour and participation in lessons
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

What We Need to Clear You

To get you registered and ready for work, we'll need:

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the last two years, including education or childcare experience where applicable
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more in the past 5 years
