We're working with a number of welcoming primary schools across South Bristol that are looking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support pupils in Key Stage 2.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where children are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You'll play a vital role in helping pupils navigate some of the most important years of their primary education while working alongside experienced and passionate school staff.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and pupils to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across KS2 classrooms
  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
  • Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their individual goals
  • Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging active participation
  • Building pupils' confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Creating positive relationships with children, staff, and families

What We Need to Clear You

To get you registered and ready for work, we'll need:

  • Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment and/or education, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including education or childcare experience where applicable
  • An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
