The Role
To gain experience, you can begin just supporting classrooms as a Teaching Assistant, aiding the teacher and supporting students to access the leanring. Then, as an Unqualified Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence, mainly within History and Humanities
- Deliver pre-set work and keep pupils engaged
- Maintain calm routines and clear expectations
- Support learning across other subjects when required
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
