Protocol Education is working with a warm, inclusive and ambitious primary school in BS3 seeking an outstanding Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from November.

Teaching in Upper KS2 is one of the most exciting and rewarding stages in primary education. This is where curiosity grows into independence, confidence flourishes, and children begin preparing for the transition to secondary school. Every lesson has the opportunity to spark deeper thinking, challenge pupils to aim higher, and create memories that stay with them long after they leave primary school.

The school is looking for a fully qualified teacher (QTS essential) who loves inspiring learners, building strong relationships and helping pupils achieve their very best during this pivotal stage of their education.

The Role

As an Upper KS2 Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver exciting, engaging and memorable lessons across the curriculum
  • Develop confident, independent learners ready for their next educational journey
  • Challenge and stretch pupils to achieve their full academic potential
  • Build strong foundations in English, Mathematics and wider curriculum subjects
  • Prepare pupils for SATs through engaging and purposeful teaching
  • Foster resilience, curiosity and a love of learning
  • Create a positive classroom culture built on high expectations and encouragement
  • Inspire pupils to believe in themselves and their abilities

Why Upper KS2?

Upper KS2 is where primary teaching becomes truly exciting.

It's where pupils start questioning, debating, investigating and thinking critically about the world around them.

One lesson you could be leading a lively class discussion on global issues, the next supporting pupils through a challenging maths concept or helping them craft outstanding pieces of writing.

You'll play a vital role in preparing children not just for secondary school, but for the future beyond it.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

✅ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✅ Has recent experience teaching within a primary school setting

✅ Has strong knowledge of the Upper KS2 curriculum

✅ Delivers engaging and inspiring lessons that challenge all learners

✅ Has excellent behaviour management and classroom leadership skills

✅ Is passionate about pupil progress and achievement

✅ Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

✅ Brings energy, creativity and enthusiasm into the classroom every day

✨ What the School Offers

  • Supportive and approachable leadership team
  • Friendly, collaborative and experienced staff
  • Well-behaved, enthusiastic pupils who enjoy learning
  • Strong planning resources and schemes of work
  • A positive and inclusive school culture
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development
  • A school that genuinely values staff wellbeing and career progression
  • The opportunity to make a lasting impact during a crucial stage of pupils' education

Why This Role?

The right teacher can have an enormous impact on a child's final years of primary school.

You'll be helping pupils build confidence, celebrate achievements, overcome challenges and prepare for one of the biggest transitions in their educational journey.

If you're a motivated and ambitious fully qualified teacher who thrives on seeing pupils grow both academically and personally, this could be the perfect next opportunity.
