Protocol Education is working with a welcoming primary school seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher to join their team from November, covering a maternity leave through to December 2027.

The Role

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally
• Prepare children for a successful transition into Key Stage 2
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor progress and identify opportunities to help every child succeed
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

✅ We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and end-of-KS1 expectations
• Ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A nurturing and positive approach to supporting pupils
• Commitment to helping every child achieve their potential

What We Need to Clear You

To register with Protocol Education, you'll need:

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the last 2 years, including your most recent school placement or employer
• An Overseas Police Check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more in the past 5 years
