SEN Teaching Assistant Required in Caterham

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Caterham. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of children who require additional support in their education.

The Role

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence both inside and outside the classroom.
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support individual learning plans.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or educational setting.
• Is patient, caring, and resilient.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Is committed to helping every child achieve their best.
