My client is a forward-thinking construction business delivering high-quality projects across Ireland. With a growing portfolio spanning residential, commercial, and infrastructure work, the company has built a reputation for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Estimator to join the team.

The Role
As Estimator, you will play a critical role in securing new business and ensuring project profitability by preparing accurate, competitive, and well-structured cost estimates and tenders. Working closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams, you will contribute to the full tender lifecycle - from initial enquiry through to submission and handover.

Key Responsibilities
-    Prepare detailed cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects
-    Analyse drawings, specifications, and other tender documentation
-    Conduct site visits and assess project requirements and risks
-    Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
-    Prepare and compile tender submissions, including pricing schedules and supporting documentation
-    Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
-    Liaise with internal teams (commercial, design, operations) to ensure cohesive bids
-    Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, labour rates, and material costs

About You
-    Proven experience in an Estimator or Senior Estimator role within construction or civil engineering
-    Strong knowledge of Irish construction practices and costs
-    Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with accuracy
-    Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
-    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
-    Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
-    Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (preferred)
