We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled education professional to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

The Role

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support learning across a range of year groups and abilities.
• Lead small group interventions to help pupils achieve their targets.
• Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs to access the curriculum.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds HLTA status or has significant classroom support experience.
• Has previous experience working within a primary or secondary school.
• Is confident managing groups of pupils and leading lessons independently.
• Has strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Is proactive, adaptable, and passionate about education.
• Is committed to helping all pupils succeed.
