United KingdomAre you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 role?
We’re recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 3 child with autism, attachment needs and demand avoidance. You’ll provide consistent, individualised support to help the child regulate emotions, engage positively with learning and build confidence within the school environment.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience supporting children with SEND
- Understands autism and behaviour as communication
- Can use calm, low-arousal and relationship-based approaches
- Is patient, resilient and able to build trust
- Can adapt expectations and activities to meet individual needs
Based in Downend, this role is particularly accessible for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants living across South Gloucestershire, including Kingswood, Emersons Green, Staple Hill and surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
