Salary: £85 – £98 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Specialist to support children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a supportive educational setting in Epsom. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. SEMH settings commonly support pupils with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, trauma-related challenges, and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents.
- Implement personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, Autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Youth Work, Health & Social Care, or similar are desirable.
