Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to support the delivery of high-profile technology infrastructure projects.The Role - Technical Manager As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the governance, accuracy and approval of all product specification documentation used across projects.You will act as a key technical control point between design, procurement and project delivery teams, ensuring approved materials, equipment and systems are technically compliant, accurately documented and aligned with project requirements.Key Responsibilities - Technical Manager
Review and approve cutsheets, product data sheets and technical submittals against project specifications, design requirements and client standardsEnsure all materials, equipment and systems meet required performance, capacity, compliance and installation criteriaOwn the preparation, quality control and submission of technical documentation packagesManage document control processes, ensuring all technical information is accurate, traceable and version controlledAct as the central point of contact for cutsheet related queries across projectsWork closely with Design and Engineering teams to validate design intent and technical requirementsCollaborate with Procurement teams to ensure correct product selection and alignment with approved Bills of MaterialsSupport Project Delivery teams with technical queries, product clarification and issue resolutionDevelop and maintain documentation standards, templates and best practice processes across projectsLiaise with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain technical documentation and resolve product discrepanciesSupport technical reviews, audits and approval processes with clients, consultants and third partiesIdentify and mitigate risks relating to incorrect product selection, compliance issues and project delays
About You - Technical Manager
We are keen to speak with Technical Managers, Design Engineers, Technical Coordinators, Document Managers or Engineering professionals with experience supporting data centre, structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, construction or MEP environments.
Proven experience working within a technical, design or engineering environmentMust have a strong understanding of structured cabling systems, including copper and fibre infrastructureExperience reviewing technical documentation, specifications, drawings, product data sheets and submittalsKnowledge of data centre infrastructure components, installation requirements and industry standardsAbility to interpret technical specifications, compliance requirements and engineering documentationExperience coordinating technical information between design, procurement and delivery teamsAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectivelyExperience using Microsoft Office, Excel and SharePoint
Desirable experience:
Previous experience working on data centre projectsKnowledge of structured cabling manufacturers including CommScope, Panduit or LevitonUnderstanding of industry standards such as TIA, BICSI or ISOExperience with construction submittal and approval processesFamiliarity with platforms such as Aconex, Procore, BIM tools or engineering document management systems
