Protocol Education are recruiting for a KS3 Classroom Teacher to work within a PRU in Ferryhill.
We're looking for someone who can bring energy, patience and resilience into the classroom and who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
You'll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons while adapting your approach to ensure pupils remain supported, challenged and motivated.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality KS3 lessons.
- Differentiating work to meet individual abilities.
- Adapting teaching methods when pupils require a different approach.
- Developing positive relationships with pupils.
- Managing behaviour using a calm and consistent approach.
- Encouraging engagement and participation.
- Supporting pupils to develop confidence and independence.
- Working alongside the wider school team.
You'll need:
- QTS.
- KS3 teaching experience.
- Strong lesson planning and delivery skills.
- The ability to adapt your teaching style.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Resilience when faced with challenging situations.
- A patient, positive and consistent approach.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
Experience in PRU, SEMH, SEND or alternative provision would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
