Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (Hearing Impaired Pupils) – LS17

Do you have experience supporting hearing-impaired pupils and knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL)?

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support hearing-impaired pupils within a friendly and inclusive school in the LS17 area.

The Role:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to hearing-impaired pupils
Supporting access to learning across the curriculum
Using British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication
Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Promoting independence, confidence, and engagement in learning

Requirements:

Previous experience supporting hearing-impaired pupils
British Sign Language (BSL) knowledge and experience is essential
Strong understanding of SEN support strategies
Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
