The Engineer Role:
A well-established PLC housebuilder is looking to appoint an Assistant Engineer / Engineer to support the Technical team across a range of residential developments throughout the South Midlands region.
This role would suit someone with experience in residential engineering or infrastructure design who is looking to further develop their career within a busy and well-structured technical environment. You will be involved across multiple stages of the development lifecycle, supporting feasibility studies, design coordination, approvals and infrastructure delivery.
Working closely with internal departments, consultants and local authorities, you'll play an important role in ensuring engineering information is coordinated effectively and projects progress in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Engineer:
- Support the Technical and Engineering teams during feasibility studies and early-stage development assessments
- Assist with the coordination of external engineering, utility and technical consultants
- Review and coordinate engineering drawings and technical information to ensure programmes are maintained
- Support planning and technical approval processes, including highways, drainage and utility applications
- Assist with the management of roads, sewers and utilities through to adoption
- Provide engineering support to Construction and Commercial teams throughout the build process
- Attend site visits and technical meetings where required
- Liaise with local authorities, utility providers and warranty bodies to help resolve technical issues
- Ensure technical information is compliant with relevant standards, Building Regulations and warranty requirements
Requirements for the Engineer role:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience within residential housebuilding, consultancy or civil engineering environments
- Understanding of roads, drainage, utilities and residential infrastructure design
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering drawing coordination
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Knowledge of relevant standards including S38, S104, Building Regulations and NHBC requirements would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
