Are you interested in supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

Protocol Education is recruiting an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in North Tyneside.

This role is particularly suited to Psychology, Criminology and Sociology graduates looking to develop experience within mental health and education settings.

The Role

You will:

  • Support students with SEMH needs.
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support.
  • Build positive relationships that encourage engagement.
  • Assist with intervention sessions and pastoral support.
  • Work alongside teachers and specialist support staff.
  • Help students overcome barriers to learning.
