Health & Safety Advisor - South Wales

Summary

A highly professional groundworks and civil engineering company specialising in the delivery of enabling works, groundworks, earthworks, remediation and civil engineering services across a wide range of sectors is looking to hire a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in South Wales.

Based out of the office based in Pontyclun with hybrid / site working you will be responsible for:

-    Safety Briefings, inductions and site team engagement - deliver site safety inductions to all site team, workforce and visitors, support the site team preparing and delivering toolbox talks, behavioural safety programmes and safety briefings
-    Providing specialist advice, support and input where required to deal with specific project issues with planning, managing and monitoring HSE considerations
-    HSE Compliance - ensuring compliance with HSE management system & procedures
-    Record Keeping -including regular HSE progress and status reports
-    Client Interface - satisfy client requirements by providing client HSE representation and attendance at progress meetings

Seeking a Health and Safety Advisor with:

-    Preferably 2/3 years working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil engineering contractor ( experience in enabling works, groundworks, earthworks, remediation and civil engineering - highly desirable)
-    Minimum NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate 
-    Technical/Certified member of IOSH 
-    Highly developed professional communication skills, including writing and presentation of reports, investigations,
-    Be able to confidently and effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce, contractors, clients 
-    Good written and verbal communication skills
-    Possess strong computer literacy, including good working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite
-    Full UK driving licence
