About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and making a positive impact on young people's learning and development.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will assist in delivering high-quality learning experiences for pupils across a range of ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Assist students with their educational, social, and emotional development.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- Prepare learning resources and classroom materials.
- Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or educational setting is desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- First Aid certification.
