The Role
As a Primary School Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and pupils to create positive learning experiences throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils in the classroom alongside the class teacher
• Working one-to-one with children who need additional encouragement or guidance
• Helping to create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Encouraging confidence, independence and social development
• Supporting play-based learning and creative activities
• Helping pupils stay engaged and focused during lessons
• Building positive relationships with children, staff and families
• Supporting children with varying needs, including SEND where required

A Bit About You
• A natural ability to build rapport with children
• Patient, empathetic and positive in your approach
• Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
• Confident working as part of a team
• Passionate about helping children succeed
• Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential

What We Need To Clear You
• Passport / proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• Two years of references, including childcare, youth work or other relevant references where applicable
• Overseas Police Check if you've lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
