We are currently recruiting for a Design Project Manager to support colocation data centre projects across the APAC region.
The role will focus on coordinating early-stage project planning, site acquisition, design requirements and pre-agreement activities before handing projects over to the delivery team. You will work closely with engineering, programme and operations teams to ensure alignment across multiple workstreams and maintain effective stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Coordinate design project management activities across colocation data centre projects throughout APAC.
-
Support early-stage planning, site assessments, site acquisition and pre-agreement activities.
-
Coordinate with engineering, programme and operations teams to align design requirements and project objectives.
-
Manage project workflows, schedules, resources and stakeholder communication across multiple workstreams.
-
Support design reviews, technical coordination and design change management.
-
Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and incorporated into design plans.
-
Identify project risks, resolve coordination issues and maintain clear reporting on progress, actions and key decisions.
-
Provide project coordination and administrative support to ensure effective governance and smooth handover to the delivery team.
-
Support multiple projects across APAC, with travel of up to 25% as required.
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, design coordination or programme management.
-
Previous experience working within data centres, ideally in a colocation environment.
-
Background in architecture, MEP, engineering or a related technical discipline.
-
Strong understanding of the end-to-end data centre lifecycle, from early planning and design through to construction and operations.
-
Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and managing stakeholders across engineering, programme and operations teams.
-
Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
-
Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and navigate changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
-
Willingness to travel across APAC as required.
The Opportunity:
This is a broad, generalist project management position rather than a hands-on technical design role. The Design Project Manager will play an important role in coordinating stakeholders, managing competing priorities and driving projects forward from initial site considerations through to handover.
This opportunity would suit a Design Project Manager who understands the colocation environment and enjoys working across multiple teams to ensure projects progress efficiently from early planning into delivery.
If you have experience in data centre or colocation project management and are looking for your next opportunity in Singapore, I'd be keen to hear from you.
