We are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work on a full-time supply basis within a specialist Resource Base at a welcoming primary school.

What will you be doing?

Working within the Resource Base, you will support children with additional needs through 1:1 work, small-group activities and personalised learning.

Your role will include:

• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting communication, social skills and emotional regulation
• Helping children engage with learning at a level appropriate to their needs
• Encouraging confidence and independence
• Providing calm and consistent support when children find situations challenging
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff
• Supporting inclusion within the wider school where appropriate
