Hours: Monday 8:30am - 4:30pm | Tuesday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:00pm | Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm

Are you looking to gain meaningful experience supporting young people before pursuing a career in Psychology?

We are recruiting a Psychology Graduate Behaviour & Learning Mentor to work within a specialist provision supporting students who may face barriers to learning.

About the Role

This is not a purely pastoral role. The majority of your time will be spent supporting students academically, helping them remain engaged in lessons and encouraging them to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

Supporting students with classroom learning
Re-engaging pupils who have become disengaged from education
Encouraging attendance and participation
Building positive relationships with students
Supporting behaviour management strategies within lessons
Delivering targeted academic interventions
Providing limited pastoral support where required

Requirements

Psychology Degree
GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above
Resilience and confidence
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build rapport quickly

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
