Cover Supervisor - Southend-on-Sea
Job Summary
Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting young people's education? We're seeking a Cover Supervisor to work within secondary schools across Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience managing groups of young people.
Responsibilities
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and instructions
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure students remain engaged and complete assigned work
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Provide feedback to teaching staff where required
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident managing groups in a classroom setting
- Flexible, reliable, and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
