We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major infrastructure project based in Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme for a leading main contractor.
We're looking for a proactive, delivery-focused Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering or National Gas projects, who is commercially aware and thrives in a structured project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of the project from commencement through to completion.
- Manage programme, cost, quality and risk to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Produce and maintain robust project reporting and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with commercial, planning and site teams to drive performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while driving programme and commercial performance.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager working for a main contractor.
- Experience delivering major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- National Gas experience is highly desirable, although strong civils experience will also be considered.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to understand contractual obligations and project performance.
- Strong reporting and project governance experience within a structured contract environment.
- Good working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Experience working under LOGIC contracts is preferred, with exposure to FIDIC contracts viewed as a significant advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to make decisions and drive projects forward.
