Project Manager - Teesside (Contract)

Working Pattern: 4 days on site, 1 day working from home

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major infrastructure project based in Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme for a leading main contractor.

We're looking for a proactive, delivery-focused Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering or National Gas projects, who is commercially aware and thrives in a structured project environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the safe and successful delivery of the project from commencement through to completion.
Manage programme, cost, quality and risk to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Produce and maintain robust project reporting and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with commercial, planning and site teams to drive performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Identify and mitigate project risks while driving programme and commercial performance.

Essential Experience

Proven experience as a Project Manager working for a main contractor.
Experience delivering major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
National Gas experience is highly desirable, although strong civils experience will also be considered.
Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to understand contractual obligations and project performance.
Strong reporting and project governance experience within a structured contract environment.
Good working knowledge of Primavera P6.
Experience working under LOGIC contracts is preferred, with exposure to FIDIC contracts viewed as a significant advantage.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to make decisions and drive projects forward.
