We’re working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Enfield looking to appoint a permanent English Teacher from September. The school is keen to find someone who can inspire a love of language and literature, while supporting students to achieve their full potential.
The role
- Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities at KS5 depending on experience
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build confidence in reading, writing, and analysis
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment where all students can thrive
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain focus and engagement
- Track progress and provide meaningful feedback to support student development
- Contribute to the wider English department and school community
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across literature and language
- Confident classroom presence with solid behaviour management
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and raising attainment
- A team player who brings energy, ideas, and a positive attitude
